Mark Richmond CFP®
As Managing Partner of Napa Valley Financial, Mark Richmond helps guide the firm in its mission to provide coordinated financial planning and investment services for families and businesses. His role centers on leadership, structure, and ensuring that every client relationship reflects the firm’s values of clarity, collaboration, and care.
Mark has spent more than four decades in the financial services industry, serving as a financial advisor for several bank and savings and loan organizations. He was Senior Vice President and a member of the executive team at Napa’s largest community bank, The Vintage Bank-now Columbia Bank-and has served as an LPL Registered Principal for over 21 years. In addition, he has been a small business owner for 16 years, giving him firsthand insight into the needs and challenges faced by business owners and professionals.
Mark studied accounting and mathematics at Santa Monica College and earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional designation from the College for Financial Planning. He is a current board member for the Queen of the Valley Hospital Foundation, Director Emeritus and former treasurer of the Napa Valley Vine Trail, and a past president of the Kiwanis Club of Napa, the Napa Chamber of Commerce, and the Napa Valley Economic Development Corporation.
Mark and his wife, Kristin, have been married 29 years and are the proud parents of four adult children: Courtney, a kindergarten teacher; Gary, a family nurse practitioner; Keegan, a wine educator, and Rylind, a master’s program student. In his free time, Mark enjoys being part of the Napa Valley Jeepers and the Porsche Club of America’s Redwood Region, where he participates on both on-and-off-road adventures.
Cody Barclay
As a financial advisor with Napa Valley Financial, Cody Barclay works closely with clients to understand their goals, priorities, and financial circumstances. Through in-depth conversations, he helps individuals and families identify their objectives and create personalized financial plans that include strategies for investments, retirement, tax efficiency, and insurance. Cody’s goal is to provide clarity and structure so clients can make informed decisions with confidence.
Cody began his career in financial services after interning at Napa Valley Financial in 2019, where he discovered his passion for helping people organize and plan their financial lives. He joined the firm full time in 2020, earning his Series 7 and 66 registrations, California state insurance license, and California notary license while building relationships with clients across different life stages.
Before becoming an advisor, Cody worked at Vintners Golf Club in Napa and served as lead instructor for the National Academy of Athletics, where he facilitated youth sports camps and learned the value of communication, discipline, and teamwork-skills that continue to shape his approach today.
A Napa native, Cody graduated from Napa High School before earning his Associates of Arts in Business Administration from Santa Rosa Junior College and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from California State University, Chico. He holds the SIE, Series 7, Series 7 and Series 66 licenses and is currently pursuing his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification, expected in 2026.
Cody and his wife, Sydney, have been together since 2015 and married in 2023. They welcomed their first child, Jackson, in October 2025. Outside of work, Cody enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying active, and playing golf-a life long passion he continues to enjoy regularly
Joshua Ingram AAMS®
As a financial advisor, Joshua Ingram helps individuals and families build, manage, and preserve their wealth through personalized financial planning and thoughtful guidance. He focuses on understanding each client’s unique goals-whether that’s retirement, education, or legacy planning-and creates strategies designed to align with their financial priorities. Josh provides ongoing support, monitoring progress, and making adjustments as life evolves, with the goal of helping clients move forward with clarity and confidence.
Joshua began his career in 2012 with Edward Jones in Bishop, California, where he built his business from the ground up. Two years later, he became an independent advisor, continuing his commitment to serving clients with a more personalized approach. In 2019, he expanded his practice acquiring a client base in Napa. California and opening an office there. In 2021, he partnered with Mark Richmond and joined LPL Financial as an independent advisor-laying the foundation for their partnership in Napa Valley Financial.
He holds a Certificate in Mechatronics from Sierra College, along with his Series 7 (through LPL Financial) and 66 registration (through the Advisor Resource Council) , California state insurance license, and the Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS®) designation.
Joshua lives in both Truckee and Napa, California, and is an active member of his community. He has been a member of the Rotary Club of Bishop and previously served as Youth Services Chair. Outside of work, Joshua and his wife, Edina - married 15 years-enjoy spending time outdoors hiking, mountain biking, snowboarding, motorcycling, and Traveling.
Julie Claus
As Branch Director of Operations at Napa Valley Financial, Julie Claus supports clients and advisors by overseeing the operational and administrative functions that keep the firm running smoothly. She plays a key role in account servicing, including new account openings, account maintenance, fund distributions, check deposits, compliance oversight, client scheduling, and ensuring proper documentation and disclosures are maintained throughout the client experience.
Julie brings more than two decades of experience in financial services, along with a strong background in banking operations. Over the course of her career, she has worked extensively in both banking and finance, developing a deep understanding of operational workflows, regulatory requirements, and client service processes. Her experience allows her to approach her role with precision, organization, and a steady focus on accuracy and follow-through.
Julie completed her formal education at the high school level and has built her professional knowledge through hands-on experience across a wide range of financial and operational responsibilities,
Outside of work, Julie is looking ahead to retirement and enjoys focusing on the next chapter while continuing to support the Napa Valley Financial team and clients with care and consistency.
Michaela Eikenbary
Events Director
As Executive Assistant and Events Director at Napa Valley Financial, Michaela Eikenbary supports clients and advisors by ensuring day-to-day operations, communication, and client experiences run seamlessly. She serves as the primary point of contact for scheduling, manages administrative workflows, oversees compliance reporting, and coordinates client appreciation events and prospect experiences. Michaela also manages client gifting, vendor relationships, budgeting, website coordination, and office operations-helping ensure every detail reflects Napa Valley Financial’s commitment to thoughtful well-organized service.
Michaela brings a diverse professional background spanning marketing, sales, administration, and event management across multiple industries, including healthcare sales and hospital administration, running an Inn, owning a floral design business, directing exhibitions for art galleries, and leading marketing and public relations for artists. Over the years, she has developed strong skills in planning, budgeting, vendor management, client relations, and creating well-orchestrated events designed to make clients feel valued and appreciated.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies from Sonoma State University.
Outside of work, Michaela enjoys escaping to the coast with her husband and their loyal labrador retriever and traveling with their adult children, always seeking new places and experiences to explore together.
Bennett Free
Para Planner
As a Client Relationship Manager and Para Planner at Napa Valley Financial, Bennett Free supports clients throughout every stage of their relationship with the firm. He assists with onboarding, helps build detailed financial plans, and ensures the smooth implementation of advisor recommendations. Bennett also provides administrative and operational support, helping make sure client needs are handled promptly and thoughtfully.
Before joining Napa Valley Financial, Bennett gained experience in both financial software and app development, giving him valuable insight into the intersection of technology and financial planning. Since graduating, he has worked in the financial advisory industry, focusing on improving client experience and supporting advisors with strategic planning tools and processes.
Bennett earned his Bachelor’s degree in International Business from John Cabot University in Rome, Italy, where he developed a global perspective that continues to shape his professional approach.
Outside the office, Bennett enjoys an active lifestyle. He is an Eagle Scout with Troop 516 in Napa and spends his free time playing tennis, surfing, and traveling the world whenever he has the opportunity.
